Description Weston is seeking a Site Construction Manager / Engineer to direct and drive projects to completion and administer subcontractor efforts. The CM / Site Engineer communicates on a regular daily basis with the Program Manager, the Project Manager, the Site Engineer, and subcontractors regarding the project, the project timeline, and project startup and staffing requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
Manage, supervise, and coordinate all aspects of the planned construction activities including installation of landfill liners and construction of soil and groundwater remediation systems. Able to interpret and understand construction specifications, drawings, and construction methods of design elements and evaluate contractors and subcontractors ability to adhere to those construction requirements Identify suitable prospective contractors and evaluate construction bids and provide recommendations Coordinate and schedule required subcontractors for each project, review subcontractor schedule and work plans, and maintain overall project schedule with ability to identify critical path Determine quantity and volume of materials (needed, excavated, disposed of) and timing of delivery to perform work and for contractor progress payments Perform daily reporting of labor, equipment, and material utilization, and material quantities along with daily production (essential for tracking daily job costs) Investigate and identify change order conditions and assist the management team in reviewing and approving subcontractor invoices. Oversee on-site remediation activities including, but not limited to, installation of landfill liners and operations and maintenance of treatment cell, treatment building, and treatment processes including evaporators and slurry dryers Lead and perform H&S related activities All other duties as assigned by the Program Manager Education/Training:
B.S. in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering. Minimum of 8 - 12 years of experience in the design, permitting, document preparation and CQA of waste disposal and soil and groundwater remediation facilities. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software and CAD programs including AutoDesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD. Understanding of Bently Microstation and ERSI Arc Map a plus. 40-Hr HAZWOPER or current 8-Hr HAZWOPER Refresher Certification Current CPR/First Aid training certification Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation Other Skills / Abilities Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines and carry out multiple priorities simultaneously. Effective at communicating with colleagues, vendors, and subcontractors. Must be able to explain scopes of work (RFP) and obtain quotes from vendors. Able to work effectively in group settings. Effective organizational skills. Effective writing skills to assist with report writing, proposal preparation, and engineering/construction cost estimates. Must be a self-starter team player and problem solver with a propensity to create a positive environment
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Construction & Real Estate, Civil EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
