Prototype Lab TechnicianKelly Engineering is seeking a Prototype Lab Technician for a contract/contract-to-hire position at Consumer Products Manufacturer in Far Western Suburbs of Chicago.

00 per hourOverview Our client is a leader in the consumer products industry.
This facility houses their R&D/New Product Development where ideation, design, prototyping, testing & validation, manufacturing process development occurs.
As part of the prototype team, you will evaluate, and test a variety of coatings for durability.
You create and submit reports regarding test results to the development team.
Responsibilities:
Set up testing by applying a variety of coatings to different materials.
Powder coating, spray painting, water/oil-based paints, polyurethanes, UV coatings on a variety of materials (wood, metal, etc.
) Execute testing such as hardness, scratch resistance, weatherization.
Collect test result data and write reports.
Present data to development team.
Assist with developing procedures for mass production.
Qualifications:
High school diploma and hardness testing experience required or an Associate or BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering Proficiency with MS Office, include Word & Excel What happens next:
