Summary:
Development and execution of plans to continuously improve and optimize product quality and process yield.
Support manufacturing by improving product quality, line efficiency/process optimization, and manufacturing costs by evaluating new materials, processes and equipment.
The Process Engineer will work at a technical expertise level involving process development fundamentals that supports corrections/improvements/risk management.
Position will facilitate and drive continuous improvement of technology/processes and are capable of utilizing a variety of statistical tools to validate process improvements.
This requires using tools such as design of experiments, root cause analysis, control charts and other decision-making tools.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
oManage implementation of new molded products and product revisions for assigned projects including o Manage and coordinate all 3D-molded Product and Tooling design-related activities from initial concept through production validation.
o Work with vendors to create efficient tooling based on customer's requirement.
o Order molds for 3D parts.
o Process engineer owns tooling design and subsequent run-off in manufacturing.
oResponsible for identification and implementation of process related continuous improvement activities to improve product quality and increase Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
oEnsure all process developments and improvements meet the Quality Management System requirements.
oMust possess strong analytical approach to problem solving to deliver innovative solutions.
oLead and work in cross functional teams.
oDemonstrate strong leadership and a clear identifiable work ethic.
oEngage with the appropriate personnel in the identification and resolution of Corrective/Preventative actions to address Quality, Technical, and Manufacturing issues.
oProject Management - Accurate development, research, planning, timely delivery and reporting for all project deliverables.
oKeep up to date on new developments and technologies in assigned disciplines and present on new 'Best Practice' methodologies, procedures, processes and equipment to the company in a proactive manner.
oUtilize various business software programs to create new and edit existing manufacturing floor batch cards; update process standards, and analyze, troubleshoot, and trend historical process equipment & production data.
oLead the Lean Kaizen and Six-Sigma teams as necessary to increase production efficiency and reduce cost.
oWork with outside vendors to develop new equipment and implement modifications to existing equipment.
oWork closely with operations (including but not limited to maintenance and supply chain) on daily basis to support entire production floor through continuous improvements to processes and equipment and through clear and concise communication with line leaders and production personnel.
oLead implementation at operations level for engineering changes.
Coordinate change overs for material and processes.
Make updates to PFMEA, QCP, and work instructions to ensure quality.
oPerform root cause analysis for customer complaints and document into an 8D while implementing corrective actions.
oResponsible for process design for new product introductions.
Coordinate team efforts during line trials for experimental formulas and compounds used for new products or cost saving initiatives.
oOptimizes the mixing technology to reduce waste, and improve product quality.
oAdvocates the need to change materials to R&D to reduce cost from an inefficient process or excessive waste.
oOptimizes a continuous process to reduce labor through the use of lean or updating process technology.
oProcess improvements that ensure the workforce remains safe.
Perform job hazard analysis, and equipment start-ups before handoff to operations.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience Required:
oBachelor of Science Degree in Engineering preferably Chemical or Mechanical engineering or comparable background with 2 - 5 years' experience in manufacturing settings.
oAbility to work on own initiative.
oGood interpersonal and communication skills with proven leadership abilities.
oExperience working in plastics, paper mill, concrete, or food industry would be a plus.
o2D software proficiency required.
3D software experience a plus.
Preferences:
2D - AutoCad, 3D - Creo or Solidworks.
oHigh proficiency creating advanced spreadsheets, utilizing macros and developing form with MS Excel and statistical software (e.
g.
Minitab, JMP).
oAchievement of Six Sigma/Green Belt/Black Belt accreditation would be a distinct advantage including but not limited to Lean Manufacturing experience and accreditation.
oProven project management experience with medium to large scale/complex projects.
oSolid experience for PLC programming, utilizing SQL Server and Rockwell Software Products would be a plus.
oA demonstratable experience of using rheology in a continuous process.
oERP and similar type business information systems experience very desirable.
oRelevant experience with statistical process control and capability analysis required.
oExcellent analytical and problem solving skills, root cause analysis and risk assessments with a strong attention to detail.
oWorking knowledge of FMEA and QCP tools.
oMust be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
oMinimal domestic travel (.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
