Sales Engineer

Responsible for all aspects of direct sales activity involving direct contact with customers in our Midwest teritorry (Western Michigan, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North/South Dakota, Ohio, Wisconsin).
This is a home based position with about 50% travel.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for achievement of order objectives in defined sales territory.
Responsible for sales and training of distributors.
Responsible for all aspects of direct sales activity involving direct contact with customer.
Submission of order forecasts on monthly basis.
Submission of weekly reports.
Provide customer technical support.
Assist the credit controller as requested with collections.
Update and maintain CRM per instructions.
Manning of exhibitions in USA.
You will also be expected to:
Attend appropriate training as required.
Maintain all appropriate records.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with your colleagues.
Manage business expenses adhering to Ametek policies
Position Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering or technical degree with significant industry experience
Minimum of five year's business-to-business industry sales experience or a technical sales capacity within automotive, aerospace, electronics markets
Professional demeanor while conducting oneself with integrity
Solid interpersonal skills with ability to build long-term relationships and trust
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Self-starter, eager learner and creative thinker
Driven, goal minded €“ Bias for results and action
Strong technical mechanical/electrical aptitude
Consistent, impactful contributor with strong customer focus
CRM database experience
PC-based software application proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must have or apply for passport
Desirable experience also includes:
Sales into Automation accounts preferably in Midwest market, sub-micron measurement/gauging experience/awareness, general measurement sales experience for process and control.
New account development experience
Product demonstration skills
Trade show experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
