Position Description

Measures, tests and visually inspects production to determine Conformance to quality.


  • Responsible for reporting food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Inspects completed finished units and bottles in process using statistical sampling techniques and following printed procedures to evaluate quality of products.
  • Selects, according to sampling tables, percentage of production lot of bottles.
  • Examines bottles to judge quality of appearance, packaging, and decoration.
  • Measures dimensions and performance criteria with customer or company supplied specifications using measuring instruments.
  • Rejects or accepts production according to quality of samples inspected.
  • Communicates with supervisors when samples are found to be non-conforming in order that corrections can be made to machine setup or operating procedures to eliminate further production of unacceptable quality.
  • Has the authority to place product on hold and shut machines down.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Responsibilities and authorities as documented in the Quality Manual, Operational Procedures, HACCP Manual, Common Work Instructions and Site Work Instructions.


  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
